Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: A therapy that involves cognition and behavior,  and requires therapeutic diagnostics, analysis, and lots of follow up visits to the therapist (think $$$$). In its generic and much cheaper form, cognitive behavioral therapy is used by parents and other caregivers (coaches, bosses, spouses), and consists of a good talking to followed up by a whack on the head.
